Terms and conditions

The use of TrackMan’s services is subject to the terms and conditions outlined below. In order to sign-up, you need to accept them. We encourage you to read them carefully.

Our technology:

Our technology is based on the Doppler Radar Principle. It’s basically microwaves reflecting from the movement of a golf club head and the resulting ball flight. The change in frequency of these receiving waves is what makes it possible for us to track what happens at the very moment of impact between club and ball.

Privacy and Data Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. We follow and comply with the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data, which is based on the EU Directive on the protection of individuals with regard to processing of personal data. This document discloses how we use and share your TrackMan information with others. It also discloses how we collect and use your content and information with good and fair business practices in mind.

Collection of data

TrackMan collects data through any TrackMan propriety channel, such as TrackMan developed software, apps, websites and devices.

We collect two distinct kinds of personal data from you:

1. Personal information

We minimum collect your name and email, but it may extend to physical address, telephone number, gender, age, golf handicap, etc., if you fill out your profile with these optional data. The more we know about your profile, the better we can customize our messaging and your training sessions.

2. TrackMan data

We collect TrackMan data from your interaction with and use of our services and products. We collect club data, ball flight data and video recordings of your swing. These data are linked to your name and email address.

Data usage

We use your data in three distinct ways:

1. For your personal benefit

We use the above data for various purposes, but in particular to enhance your TrackMan experience through a more personalized and shared interaction. Our TrackMan data allows us to tailor information specifically for your benefit. For example, video screen casts and data reports from your coach that will enable you to better understand your swing. Or educationally tailored content based on such data. These are fair, but not exhaustive examples.

2. For statistical purposes

We also use your TrackMan data for statistical purposes (aggregated data) where we do not reveal your identity, nor does it directly relate to you, even if we have collected your personal data. For example, we may aggregate personal data to evaluate skills according to age, gender or handicap. These are fair, but not exhaustive examples.

3. For use in competitions/games/tests

Our products also allow you to partake in competitions and tests that seek to benefit your overall game. Such competitions may display your name on publicly displayed leaderboards on www.MyTrackMan.com. Another example may be your results from one of our driving range facilities, which may be shared on these publicly, displayed leaderboards. This also includes results from training sessions etc. undertaken prior to your acceptance of these terms. These are fair, but not exhaustive examples.
